Slam Dunk Veggies

Put together a festive veggie tray by serving the dip in a basketball hoop. We used a juice glass that we wrapped in craft foam cut to look like the net. We secured it with tape. The craft foam backboard finishes it off and can be held with tape as well (foam tape might work best for this). This is a fun way to encourage your guests to eat their vegetables: dunk them!

 

Basketball Clementines

lementines are perfectly designed for a basketball makeover! Just grab a permanent marker and draw lines to mimic a basketball design. It’s easiest to start by drawing lines that section the fruit into fourths, then add the others by drawing what really amounts to an oval/circle on two of the sides, making sure to keep equal distances between the lines you already drew. These are as cute as they are tasty and little ones just love them.

 

PB&J Basketball Tortillas

Here’s a creative way to offer up a PB&J: Take three whole wheat tortillas and stack them with peanut butter between the bottom layers and jelly between the top layers. Slice with a sharp knife to make a basketball design and place on a dark colored plate or platter. You could substitute any number of fillings: cream cheese, humus, other nut butters, etc.
